About us
Janet Hart is our Managing Partner and is the first point of contact for all new clients. Following University Janet trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price WaterhouseCoopers in London. She then moved to Hertfordshire, where she consolidated her experience of SME business working extensively for two locally based accountancy practices on taxation, audit and accounting with smaller family owned businesses, before establishing Harts. Janet is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation. Janet leads our team of qualified accountants and skilled support staff who have many years experience gained both within business and Professional Practice.
Our philosophy is to understand the needs of our clients by maintaining close contact with them, thus ensuring that we can provide comprehensive, timely and appropriate advice. In this way we are best able to assist our individual and company clients to adapt to the changing business, legal and taxation environment.
We pride ourselves on providing a professional, efficient, friendly and cost effective service and place particular emphasis on retaining high calibre staff and in maintaining personal long- term relationships with our clients. Our growth in business comes through additional work with and referrals from existing clients, together with new work arising through banks, networking and other sources.
We aim to provide a complete and professional “one stop shop” for business and personal financial requirements with appropriate contact to other top professionals where specialised expertise in areas such as investment advice is required. We also have links to advisers in the USA, France, Germany and Spain where cross-border issues are involved.
If you are looking for a team of reliable, approachable, and proactive accountants who will do more than just respond to your needs but work alongside you to help you succeed you have come to the right place.
